The Road Goes Ever On:
Thirty Years of Peach Records

Garage/outsider fake album art from eccentric cult artist Richard Frasca.Richard Frasca - 30 Years of Peach Records - CLICK for big version

Drawings, collage, and type on cardboard & paper.

Multimedia display: video, listening stations, miscellaneous rock detritus

Richard Frasca and his band Village (Gothic Harris, Jeremy Gilien, Pasquale Amadeo, Jeff Morrison, and Scott Sindon among others) started playing music together in 1970. Undeterred by obscurity, they made 75+ "albums" together on the made-up Peach Records Label (not including bootlegs, best of’s and rarities albums).

Frasca ( with occasional collaboration from Gothic Harris) designed and produced the hand-made album covers. In addition, for the past thirty-five years Frasca has kept the apocryphal "Chronicles"—a cut and paste, type and collage history of Peach Records. Hundreds of pages of his multivolume document are on display. They tells a hilarious and meticulously detailed alternative narrative of a world where Village are big stars and chart-toppers. Some entries record real events, but most are spun out of the imagination of Frasca, including interviews, reviews (raves & pans), press releases, contracts and promo ads for the fake record label, including many invented characters and side stories.

Come join us for this world premier retrospective of LA cult legend Richard Frasca and Peach Records, now relocated to Otsego County.
